Food Nannies wrong again

I remember being warned off eating too many nuts when I was a kid. “They’re full of fat” was the predictable objection, and of course ‘fat’ was the latest boogeyman in the Food Nannies revolving-door-of-bad-foods.

This of course was before Cholesterol became the villain du jour, which was before they discovered that no, actually, it’s sugar!!!

So it comes as a shock, a shock I tell you, to discover that nuts are actually good for you.

“People consuming at least 20 grams of nuts daily less likely to develop potentially fatal conditions such as heart disease and cancer,” The Independent reports. That was the main finding of a review looking at 20 previous studies on the benefits of nuts.

This is just another in a long and growing list of things the Food Nannies got wrong.

As I point out in my video, you would literally have been healthier if you’d ignored the food nannies for the last 50 years than you would be if you obeyed them:
