Anthony Albanese is a ‘useful idiot’ for China.

The world changed when President Donald Trump became US President number 47 in January of this year.

And whilst I have been very critical of things that he’s done that I believe deserve criticism, by the same token, we need to acknowledge the many excellent things that he’s done. Also, chief among them is the US withdrawal from the World Health Organization. US Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. explained the reason for that withdrawal in the clearest possible terms when he addressed the World Health Assembly.

[From video]

Like many legacy institutions, the WHO has become mired in bureaucratic bloat, entrenched paradigms, conflicts of interest, and international power politics. While the United States has provided the lion share of the organization’s funding historically, other countries such as China have exerted undue influence over its operations in ways that serve their own interests and not particularly the interests of the global public. This all became obvious during the COVID pandemic when the WHO under pressure from China suppressed reports at critical junctures of human to human transmission and then worked with China to promote the fiction that CO originated from bats or panglins rather than from a Chinese government sponsored research at a biolab in Wuhan. Not only has the WHO capitulated to political pressure from China, it’s also failed to maintain an organization characterized by transparency and fair governance by and for its member states. The WHO often acts like it has forgotten that its members must remain accountable to their own citizens and not to transnational or corporate interests. [End video]

As an aside, I can’t help but notice that RFK Jr. mentions the fact that the gain of function research at the Wuhan lab was supported by the Chinese government but neglected to acknowledge the role of the US government through the National Institutes of Health and Anthony Fauci funding that same research. But that’s not the topic of this video.

Okay. The US is following through on this withdrawal from the World Health Organization in practical ways, not just symbolic ones. Most recently was their withdrawal from the World Health Organization’s new international health regulations amendments as seen in this joint press release by the departments of health and hum human services and the state department from the 18th of July 1 day before the withdrawal deadline passed.

Now I’ve covered those international health regulation amendments in earlier videos. In my view they don’t amount to quite the globalist totalitarian takeover that some others have claimed they are. The function they serve in my view is not so much to empower tyrants abroad, but to provide cover for the tyrants that we have right here at home. Chief among them being Anthony Albanese, supported, of course, by the Labour Party, and by bureaucrats such as Julie Inman Grant, the ES Safety Commissioner. You can watch my earlier videos for more about all of that.

But now, the deadline for Australia to withdraw from these amendments has passed, and we didn’t withdraw.

But more than that, I can’t help but notice that Anthony Albanese timed his 7 day visit to China from the 12th to the 18th of July to be in China as that deadline approached with the US cutting its funding for the World Health Organization.

China have stepped in to partly fill that gap. China have pledged 500 million US in funding over the next 10 years, making them now the largest single funder of the World Health Organization. But importantly, as is so often the case when dealing with China, the funding comes with a lot more strings attached to it than what US foreign aid ever did. And it appears that China might be using aid through globalist agencies such as the World Health Organization to try and replace its ailing belt and road initiative where people kind of got wise to the poisoned chalice of infrastructure loans from China and now they’re being enticed by aid from China with exactly the same strings attached.

And Anthony Albanese is going to great pains to suck up to China right as the World Health Organization and International Health Regulation drama was unfolding.

Now to be clear, Australia benefits massively from having a healthy trade relationship with China and no one will benefit from any sort of conflict or war with China. So I fully support the prime minister paying a visit and making nice with the Chinese government.

But Anthony Albanese isn’t just making nice. He’s pivoting our entire geopolitical focus towards China in a way that would make Kevin Rudd proud. Oh, and speaking of Kevin Rudd, Anthony Albanese is keeping this notorious America hating, President Trump insulting, China loving former prime minister in his plum position as the ambassador to the United States of America where he can barely get a phone call with the president and for good reason given the things that he has said about President Trump.

I would have thought that former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd would have made an ideal ambassador to China. He loves China and that would have been a much stronger relationship to build on. And someone else, pretty much anyone else would have had a warmer reception in Washington than what Kevin Rudd has.

So compare the pair. Our prime minister spends seven days on a diplomatic tour to force of China, complete with all the right photo opportunities. He’s basically gone full useful idiot for the Chinese, but he has yet to visit the USA since Trump’s inauguration despite five visits to the US while Joe Biden was president. Five visits to Joe, five visits to Joe in 5 years and none to Trump so far.

And yes, they were supposed to meet at the G7 summit in Canada and Trump bailed on that meeting due to what was going on in the Middle East, which is understandable on the one hand, but also I can imagine that the moment Trump realized he had a valid excuse not to have to sit in a room one-on-one with Anthony Albani, he would have jumped at the chance to get on his plane and fly home instead. Frankly, I would jump at the chance to poke my eyes out with a fork instead, but that’s just me.

Now, interestingly, for as long as Joe Biden was in the White House, Elbow only saw fit to visit China once, five trips to the US, one to China, while Joe Biden was in the White House, but now that Trump is in the White House, not only has Anthony Albanese not visited the US at all, but his 7-day tour of China, including visits to the Great Wall, to panda parks, and a sightseeing schedule that would make an Instagram influence. influencer jealous. That 7-day tour is the longest of any trip to any country since Anthony Albanese became prime minister.

And it’s not like it was for some big multi-day global conference like his 6-day visit to Spain back in 2022 for the NATO summit, which is his second longest trip. Not at all. There was no conference. This 7-day trip was about schmoozing the Chinese and nothing else.

And again, I can fully understand wanting to play both sides of the fence. Be the friendly guy that makes nice with everyone, but that’s not what Anthony Albanese is doing here. He’s not playing nice with both sides. He’s sticking the middle finger up to President Trump by leaving the potty mouthed Kevin Rudd in place as our ambassador to the US and the busybody Julie Inman Grant in place as the e safety commissioner who thinks it’s her job to censor the global internet including in the USA while he enjoys a week-long lingering visit to Xi Jinping’s China and allows the Chinese controlled world health organization to have increased influence into Australia via these new international health regulations.

Don’t think that President Trump doesn’t get the message and don’t expect him to give Australia any special favors in his tariffs.

And mark my words, if Anthony Albanese keeps up like this, we can expect President President Trump will review the Five Eyes intelligence sharing relationship with us as well in addition to the promised review of the Orcus submarine deal.

If I if I were him, I wouldn’t want to share information with us either, given how cozy we’re getting with China. Now, we cannot expect the US to stay close to us when we’re the ones pushing them away. And we certainly cannot expect them to keep giving us special treatment when we are the ones cuddling up to their greatest geopolitical rival.

I’ll say it again. It’s great that we have a strong relationship with China on trade, but we have a mutual interest in trade with China. It goes both ways. We don’t need to cozy up to them to get trade. They want our resources. And whilst it’s true that China have done a lot of work to develop supplies of resources from elsewhere, the fact is that our resources are better quality and cheaper and more abundant than pretty much any of the other alternatives.

Now, a wise prime minister would have had a backbone. They would have been friendly and respectful to China, but not a suck up. Or to say it another way, a wise prime minister would have been a leader for Australia and not a useful idiot for China.

As it is, thanks to this deadline passing for us to withdraw from the international health regulations, we are now more tied to the World Health Organization than ever before. At exactly the same moment that the World Health Organization becomes more tied to China than ever before. And I can’t help but think that that’s the way that Prime Minister Anthony Albanese likes it.
