“It’s been great to see more and more writeups on Battleground Melbourne as time has passed. This one from Culture Watch highlights just how gut wrenching the events of the past two years have been for those who lived it in Melbourne.

I make no apology that Battleground Melbourne is a tough watch, and in fact I’ll point out that I don’t actually show the absolute worst of some of the things that took place as my focus was not on the violence, although a certain amount of it could not be avoided, but rather on the psychology and politics of what took place.

So yes, viewer beware, it’s not an easy watch. But I do think it’s incredibly important, as this article agrees, and we should never shy away from speaking the truth even when it’s ugly.”
