I’m sitting on a tram listening to some ticket inspectors tell a man he owes them big money because he left his concession card at home. Sure the inspector is ‘doing her job’ but all I can hear is extortion and standover tactics.

The ultimate insult? They can take payment of a $75 fine instantly, on the tram, but after a $1.4Billion ‘upgrade’ to the Myki system, we cant buy a ticket on board anymore…
