Free speech is dead: QLD government blocks UBER emails to MPs

Someone I consider to be a very reliable source just posted this:

The Speaker of the Queensland Legislative Assembly has confirmed that they have blocked all emails supporting Uber from reaching MPs. Just think about it for a moment. If you live in Queensland and support deregulation, the Government has determined you are not allowed to email your MP to express your support. This is an unprecedented outrage and an assault on the fundamental principles of representative democracy.

I couldn’t agree more. The MPs who have been elected to REPRESENT the people are picking and choosing which opinions they’ll hear. Everyone involved in this decision should be shamed out of the public service permanently.
