Slow Chat with Richard Wolstencroft

Richard Wolstencroft is an actor, film maker, director of the long-running Melbourne Underground Film Festival, and… BDSM club owner?

Richard is a man who has lived a complex and controversial life with his independent horror films being slammed by some, lauded by others, and his commitment to artistic freedom resulting in huge controversy, court appearances, and a police raid!

I daresay over the course of a Slow Chat we’re going to find many points of agreement, just as many points of disagreement, and talk about things that haven’t been spoken of in a Slow Chat before!

But through all the drama of Richard’s life emerges an undeniable fact: Here is a man who has survived the many challenges of artistic life, completed and released numerous feature films, and spearheaded a long-running film festival that makes room for content that is rejected elsewhere in the closed-minded world that is the Australian Arts scene.

Brace yourselves, and perhaps don’t let your pearl-clutching granny watch this one… it’s going to be spicy in so many ways!

Only two things are assured: It’s going to be fun, and no doubt we’re going to have a good laugh along the way.
