A step in the right direction

Yes, yes, YES, and 1,000 times yes!

I wholeheartedly support this step in the right direction from VicPol and I will do whatever I can to work with them to ensure that we can once again legally exercise our human right to engage in political protest.

The fact that VicPol are calling for this, and doing so publicly, is a wonderful step in the right direction and should be seen as an olive branch, a gesture of goodwill. If your first instinct towards this is to be cynical given all that has happened, that’s understandable.

But can I ask you to put that aside for a moment.

Please, for all our sakes, put that aside.

No one can change the past, but we need to find a way to come together as a community. Let’s support those on the ‘other side’ who are sticking their necks out to help make that happen.
